How To Pre-Launch Your Success
|
Have you ever wondered how the “big boys” (and girls) in both online and network marketing are able to make their products such a mind-blowing success? It’s really quite simple when you think about it, yet very few people would ever think of it, let alone attempt it.
Do you give up? Let me give you a big hint: look at the title of this article. You guessed it: another one of those crazy marketing “buzz words” that everybody loves to use (but with little or no understanding about how or why it works).
If you’ve ever been a part of a well-planned network marketing program start-up or the kick-off for a brand new online marketing product, then you’ve probably seen this process at work. It’s referred to as “pre-launch.” And it’s done right, it can be highly effective.
Now, with that concept in mind, instead of using it for a product or service, let’s focus it on a person. And that person is … you! That’s right, you’re going to use this “power tool” to help put your success into orbit. Don’t worry, it won’t set you back thousands of dollars nor do you need a PhD to make it work for you.
If there's one thing that you should have learned from successful marketers it’s this: You've got to have your own unique identity. And that holds true whether you’re marketing online or off. If you don’t, then you're just another "wannabe", warming the bench on the sidelines, watching and wishing.
Do you think I’m making this up? Would you like a few offline examples to help drive this point home? Martha Stewart became a household name because she made a name for herself as the nation's top creative homemaker. Steven Spielberg became a top director and producer because he made a name for himself by the way he makes movies. Robert Allen became a top motivational speaker because he made a unique name for himself in the crowded self-help arena.
Whether it's personal, commercial or financial success, the key to any lasting success is to differentiate. Like 7-Up, "The Un-Cola." The bottom line: each of the people mentioned above took the time to figure out what they were good at and then dared to "make it in their own image."
Let’s get real. Everyone has this unspoken question that they have get answered before they’ll ever start to take you or what you have to say seriously. In the back of their mind they’re asking, "Who are you and why should I listen to what you have to say?"
And it doesn’t matter whether they’re in an elevator with you, or reading your web page, you've only got about fifteen seconds to give them a convincing answer. Of course, the best way to be able to answer that question effectively is to first, determine what it is that you do best, and then either become the best at doing it or . . . figure out how to do it well but in a unique way.
Now, ask yourself, "What do you enjoy doing - and that you do well that, if you put a unique twist to it, could be valuable to others and thus profitable for you?" Once you find the answer to this question, you'll have taken the first step toward “pre-launching” your success.
