Multimedia Product Creation Basics

If you’re serious about making money with online products, then you need to create one that uses online multimedia. Otherwise, you’re going to be left behind in the “digital dust.” The multimedia wave has hit the Internet in a big way, and it’s here to stay.
Until very recently, e-books, PDF reports and similar items were the products of choice for digital product purchasers. But with the introduction of online audio and video applications, both the type of digital products and the demand for them have changed.
There are two ways you can look at this information. You can sit there and wring your hands. Or, you can start incorporating multimedia in your product creation mix. For example, although e-books aren’t as popular as they once were, video e-books are very much in demand.
In other words, the new trend toward online multimedia should be welcome news to online product creators. Why? Because now you not only can create multiple versions of your product, you can also create multi-media products by re-purposing existing content.
For example, you can create different versions or levels of individual product lines. You could create an audio ebook, a video ebook, and a multimedia ebook. These in turn could be available from a membership site or you could put them on a CD or DVD and sell them as a physical product.
If you’d like to add new life to an old product or existing content, you can use online multimedia to do so. Take that free report or ebook and put it in audio format. Or create screenshots of your content and make a video of it. Another suggestion is to make a video presentation showing your product or service in action, like a case study, for instance.
These are just a few very basic ideas and suggestions. Spend a little time researching online products and services in niches that are of interest to you to get ideas about others are using online multimedia. Who knows? You might just come up with the next “killer idea” for using digital multimedia.
