Using Teleseminars For Product Creation

One of the most popular ways to create new content and to build a list is by doing teleseminars. If you’ve been on the list of any major marketer for very long, chances are pretty good that you’ve been invited to sign-up to listen to one. But aside from the obvious reasons mentioned above, there’s another reason why teleseminars are becoming “the tool of choice” for online marketers: product creation.

Of course the teleseminar itself is a product, but that’s not what we’re referring to. Instead of looking at the call as a product, many marketers think of it as a “jumping off point” for creating new products. Whether it’s re-packaging the call or creating derivative products from it, teleseminars are a great way to start a whole new product line.

First of all there is the call itself. Most smart marketers have a transcript of the call created for them shortly after the call has been recorded. This in turn becomes a new product that can be sold on its own or as an added value to the call at a higher price point.

That same transcript could also become the outline for a free report that pre-sells the call or transcript. It could also be broken up into smaller segments to create an autoresponder mini-course. Or the transcript content could be enhanced to create an ebook about the subject of the call.

The audio version of the call could be segmented as well, with the introduction of the call being used as a free sample. This could be uploaded as a sample to draw prospects to a sales page to purchase the complete audio, transcript or both. By compiling both the audio and transcript on a CD, you have yet another product with even higher perceived value.

Still another way to use the initial teleseminar to create new products is to do additional teleseminars on related topics or that focus on specific subtopics that were not covered in-depth. These could be combined to create a completely new product. Or, you could choose to use each call to create product lines similar to those created from the original teleseminar.
