How To Use Your Digital Multimedia Promotional Products

Wait a minute! Why are you using the word “products” when you’re referring to a promotional tool? Well, like it or not, that promotional tool that you’ve created really is a product. It’s a special kind of product created to promote another product. But unless you know what to do with your “knock ‘em dead” digital multimedia promo tool, you’ll have done all that work for nothing.
Do you have a newsletter? (If you don’t, you should.) Give your readers a change from reading copy on a page. Post your multimedia promo video or audio in your newsletter (or a link to it) and invite your readers to click on it for a special announcement.
Your website probably has a page where you include a list of products or services that you recommend to your visitors or subscribers. Why not include your multimedia promotional video or audio here? When given the choice between a link and a multimedia presentation, which would you choose?
One of the hottest online trends in the past year is blogging. Yep, you guessed it! If you’ve got a blog, check with your host about converting your presentation to the correct format, and then upload it. You could include in a post or make it available on the main page.
This next idea really is a no-brainer. Do you have your own product? How would you like to increase the profit potential from your product sales? Include your digital audio/video promo as an upsell or bonus item at the point of purchase.
Don’t forget the email! No doubt you’ve probably opened one yourself. No, I’m not talking about an email message; I’m referring to audio and video postcards. Create one using your digital multimedia promo and give your list members a welcome change from text or static graphics.
I really should keep this next one to myself; but you probably would have thought of it sooner or later. It’s basically a take-off on the previous suggestion. Instead of putting your presentation in a digital postcard, put it on a CD and send it to your customers along with your product. Of course, you could also offer the CD for a modest fee to qualify prospects that would like more information.
