The advertising co-op is an Internet marketing strategy that is highly effective and ensures financial success as well. The main benefits of a good advertising co-op are high-targeted responsive advertising at low cost.

Typically, members of the same program pool, about 3-12 members form a group and pool in money for advertising. The best co-op advertising would be a solo ad or top sponsor ad in an ezine. Now these ads are expensive. So when say 10 members participate in the co op together, the individual cost works out to be highly effective and minimal but the overall impact is wow.

The reach of such targeted advertising is huge. Members should be advertising a program where each member has his/her own individual referral URL. Basically, you will need a URL rotator and ad trackers which are even available for free on the internet. When the ezine ad is run, the ad will contain the URL of a rotator. The referral URLS of the co-op members will be inserted in the rotator. As ezine readers click on the URL in the ad, the referring website URLS come up in rotation for the co-op members. In order to insure the integrity of the co-op each member should convert their referral URL to an ad tracking URL and submit this second URL to the co-op organizer.

Each time the URL is clicked, the ad tracker will record the same. There is a lot of transparency because the ad responses are distributed evenly amongst the members and they have an option of comparing the number of hits with other co-op members.

Targeted advertising is almost always most effective and economical as well. The group you are promoting your product to should have expressed an interest in your product earlier or should at least have a need for your product. Else, they should be a group in whom you can instill the need for such a product/service. For example: you cannot market baby nappies to the teenage audience. No matter how much you convince them, they are not going to need nappies.

Else, it is a waste of money and may have extremely minimal return on investment. Distribute a list of co-op participants with name and email address to all co-op members. If you are a network marketer, then advertising co-op is the best promotional choice you can make. Organize a co-op to reap long term benefits, at a very minimal cost if you want to become a member of a free-to-join multi level advertising program.

Advertising co-op may not see you derive benefits in terms of an immediate dramatic increase in sales. But you are sure to reap benefits for a lifetime from here.
