However, it seems that very few people learn to see or understand the vast "acres" of online wealth that's waiting not only to be discovered, but also, like the "Diamonds" in the story, refined.

The fact is that you will discover the wealth you seek only when you can first determine what kind of wealth you're looking for. Which means you must answer the question: "What kind of wealth does the Internet offer?"

It seems that many e-mail messages are trying to answer that question for us with their promises of "overnight online riches" with little or no effort. There definitely are many who are making very good money online- but that’s due to the fact that they’ve learned how to mine the Web's true wealth.

Wait a minute! Aren’t they successful because they know how to make money from the Internet? The answer to that question is a very firm No. Practically any professional marketer will tell you that "money is not the focus; it's the by-product." To truly succeed, you must first be able to mine the "acres of diamonds" hidden on the Web. In case you're still confused, what I'm trying to tell you is that the incredible wealth of the Web is the Internet itself!

It’s really not that hard to understand. What is the 'Net? It's the "Information Super Highway!" I other words, whatever subject or item a segment of the ever-growing online population is searching for can be boiled down to just one thing: information. And information about that information is collected, categorized and ranked by the ever-active Search Engines.

“Big deal!” You say. “Tell me something I don’t know.” But let’s dig a little deeper. If you have at your disposal the means to find out exactly what a specific segment of people are searching for, then, armed with that information, you are in the unique position of being able to . . . give them what they want!

Master Marketer Marlon Sanders says it best, "What they're buying, I'm selling!" Following his line of reasoning, you need to ask yourself, "What does this specific market/target group want?" You can find the answer using some of the Web's own "acres of diamonds", Search Engine utilities like goodkeywords.com and wordtracker.com, just to name a few. The next step after you've figured out what specific kind of information they've "got to have", is to . . . go get it for them!

"Hold on- I thought that's what they were supposed to do!" Well, sad to say, but that's where you and successful online pros like Marlon Sanders and Terry Dean part company. They have made the unique discovery that people really are willing to pay them if they can figure out how to collect and package the specific kind of information their prospective customers really want.

It sounds kind of crazy but they make money the old fashioned way; they "find a need" (discover a problem a certain target group has). This group has to have and be willing to spend money to solve that problem) Then they "fill it" by creating the desired solution through using the wealth of online information and resources to study that market and solve their problem.

Now, if you go out and get exactly what your prospective customer wants, and then let them know that you have what they want, who do you think they're most likely to run to? The answer is easy: You! Why? Because you have positioned yourself as the "prime source" for what they want! And that in turn, can empower you to unlock the vault of true online prosperity.
